This fabulous hunter green silk velvet wrap around dress was designed by Hattie Carnegie in the 1930’s. It is bias cut with Dolman sleeves and light gathering at the shoulders and waist. The skirt is about a half circle. It has 12 inch ties on both sides of the front that might have been fastened with a rhinestone belt slide. The back is lined to support the blousing in the back. There are 2 small holes (about 1/4 inch) at the left hip. These are not easily noticed and do not affect the wearability. There is some slight crushing of the velvet here and there, but is easily remedied at the dry cleaners. We estimate the size as an 8 to 10 petite. Measurments as follows: Shoulder........17” Waist.............29” to 34” Bust...............36” to 40” Length...........52.5” neck to floor Skirt length...36” waist to floor Sleeves...........48.5” wrist to wrist
